                   ACTUALLY, I HAPPENED TO COME TO KOZHIKODE PURELY DUE TO PROFESSIONAL REASONS...BUT KOZHIKODE AND ITS CUISINES REALLY CAPTURED MY IMAGINATIONS LIKE NO OTHER PLACE I HAD LIVED IN. THE GASTRONOMY OF THE PLACE IS EXCUISITELY DISTINCT IN THE SENSE ,ANYONE WITH A DESIRE FOR GOOD APPETITE CAN PICK AND CHOOSE THE MOST APT PLACE TO QUENCH HIS CRAVINGS IN A WHIM OF A MOMENT. HOTEL MEZBAN in Asma tower is at the heart of the city. Usually lunch time there will be completely packed.You'd have to wait on the outside chairs.But the ambience there is really amazing.Do check out the google picks of the interiors.There you have french,indian,chinese and other continental dishes.Do pay a visit there in the evenings to experince the specialities.

HOTEL PARAGON-a you all know is very famous for its BEEF BIRIYANI,PRAWNS BIRIYANI,PRAWNS DRY FRY.....and also the CHICKEN BIRIYANI.Its a famous destination of all the calicutians who would venture there for a tasty biriyani.kallumakai fry is also really delicious there
Also,after having food there,do cross the road to the opposite side to drink the most famous MILK SARBATH(PAAL SARBATH) from the Bhaskaran chettan's kada.

ALIBHAI THATTUKADA...near beach is a common get together place of oldies of calicut.There you have the most variety foods you can ever get in kerala like MUTTON BRAIN FRY,BEEF VARIYELLU,FRIED ICECREAM etc.

ADAMINTE CHAYAKKADA is also near to the beach.Its famous for all the funny named chicken delicacies. There are nearly 20 varieties of tea and sulaimani available there,POTHI POROTTA,AVOCADO SHAKE,STRAWBERRY MOJITO,AVAL MILK,CHAKKA BELLAM etc are very good.

SIXTH AVENUE...is famous for its excuisite cake shaped shop with all the continental delicacies like that from italian,french,european with different varieties of cakes and pastries.If you go there ,never forget to drink the BLOODY MARY from there.

HOTEL SAGAR is mostly famous for its CHICKEN BIRIYANI which is a must to be experinced one.

HOTEL KINGSBAY... is one of my most favourite destinations.There are 2 kingsbays but the one near the beach is a better one. My favourite dishes there are the SHRIMP PIRATE SOUP, BURNT GARLIC CHICKEN STEAK,ARABIAN FRIED RICE,SEAFOOD CHOUPSEY .

HOTEL LIGHTHOUSE...near the national highway is another must expeince place where you can get to know the Arabian "majlis" style of eating food where you can partially lie down on a bed and have food from floor tables covered on 4 sides of the room with arabian curtains. The KUZHI MANTHI there is pretty delicious

HOTEL KARACHI DURBAR ..near pottammal  junction is the best place in calicut to experience KABABS AND TANDOORIS.They have the most varieties of KABABs that you will feel defficult to choose from. 

MOMMOMIA on the beach road is a place to have different varieties of CHICKEN MOMOS.

MGRILL in focus mall is a franchise of hotel paragon.The best thing i got to have from there is PANDAN CHICKEN(covered in special edible Pandan leaves which are exported from Malaysia for the purpose) FRENCH SOUP (we get in a bread mould bowl which can be eaten after drinking the soup) MUTTON RAN.(leg of a goat or lamb).

AMMA MESS....is the best place to eat lunch with fried fishes and other seafoods.

ZAINS HOTEL ...near beach is one of those only places where you get to experience homemade kozhikodan delicacies like CHATTI PATHIRI,MOTTA PATHIRI,MOTTA SURKKA,MOTTA MAALA etc
